Tyrone

Tyrone turquoise was mined in the Burro Mountains southwest of Silver City, New Mexico.  Tyrone is a hard, high-grade turquoise that has become sought after and collectible. The colors can range from deep blues to shades of green. The mines stopped producing in the ‘80s and most material available has come from private collections. Some Tyrone turquoise has been recently mined once again and has found its way to the market. We really enjoy working with Tyrone when it is available. The colors are rich, deep, and even more beautiful when placed in settings.
